Permission

Are you waiting for permission to heal?  Are you waiting for someone to give your pain, trauma, or other hurt some kind of official seal of approval for being valid before you begin to unpack it?

If so, buckle up, I’m going to go into a deep dive dissertation into all the ways your feelings are valid.

Here we go. Put your thinking caps on.

They are your feelings. They are valid.

That’s it. I know it doesn’t feel that simple (believe me, I know!) but that’s really all we need to know

Now, if we were deep diving into your actual stuff (or mine in this case), I can make an argument that my feelings may be based on false perceptions, but the fact remains. I still FEEL a certain way; therefore my feelings are still valid and need to be addressed.

If you have been denying a deep hurt and trying to “get over it” but can’t seem to move past it, your feelings are valid and you deserve to address them.

Acknowledging our deep hurt can initially feel crushing but it is also where freedom awaits.

What hurt have you been waiting to be validated? Do you need permission to heal?  If so, here you go!
